Lieber Martin ich hoffe dich im Besitz meines letzten Luftpostbriefes und erwarte einen gleichen on dir. Deine letzte Nachricht war vom 5. IX., und kam vor drei Wochen an. Wir sind G.(ott) L.(ob) alle gesund und hoffen desgl.(eichen) von dir. Heute erhielt Nachricht von Selma und Max und schreiben gut. Sie schrieben, dass sie dir schrieben, aber von dir keine Zeile empfangen hätten. Ihre Adresse ist 85 King Henry´s Road N.W.3. London. Oder, wenn jetzt dein Bf. nicht ankommen sollte, so schicke ihn an Willy Stern Nicolass Kuysekstraat 12/1 Rotterdam. Holland., der ihn an Max weiter schickt.

Ida Hirsch war letzte Woche in Stuttgart und wartet jetzt auf ihr Billet, das von drüben

bezahlt werden muss, da es doch in Devisen bez(ahlt) werden muss und sie doch keine hat. Betty Freitag hofft bald mit Carl, der von der Schweiz aus fährt, nach Chile zu kommen durch ihre Nichte Irene, die dorten ist. Friedel Schott arbeitet in einer Ziegelei in Heppenheim und hofft auch bald weg zu können.

Robert Kramer ist in England und Hedwig noch hier, mit der öfter zusammen komme. ihr Sohn ist in einer Anstalt in Nieder-Ramstadt. Else Hirsch von Büttelborn verlobt sich mit Carl Levy aus Trebur, beide in New York. Grüsse Alle von mir und sei du herzl. geküsst von deinem Vater.

Lieber Martin. Wir warten vergebens auf Nachricht von Dir; denn diese Freude fehlt uns, schade! Man könnte mündlich so manches jetzt erzählen.

G. s. D. wir sind gesund. Tante Hans schrieb einen grossen Brief, aber wie immer unzufrieden, dass Meta noch da ist. Onkel Josef war nicht wohl. Hörst Du was von Hanna und Ruth? - wir nichts!

Hope you have received my last letter by airmail and I expect a response from you. Your last news of Sep 5 came three weeks ago. Thank God we are all well and hope you are, too. Today I got a letter from Selma and Max and they wrote good things. They said that they wrote to you but got no response. Their address is 85 King Henry´s Road N.W.3. London. Or, if your letter does not arrive, then send it to Willy Stern Nicolass Kuysekstraat 12/1 Rotterdam. Holland., who will forward it to Max.

Ida Hirsch was in Stuttgart las week, and is now waiting for her ticket that has to be paid by her sponsor, for it must be paid in hard currency and she has none. Betty Freitag hopes to get to Chile to her niece Irene, with Carl who joins her from Switzerland. Friedel Schott works in a brick factory in Heppenheim and hopes to get to leave soon.

Robert Kramer is in England while Hedwig who I often meet, is still here. Her son is in a hospital in Nieder-Ramstadt. Else Hirsch of Büttelborn is engaged with Carl Levy of Trebur; both are now in New York. Greetings to all and warm kisses from your father.

Dear Martin,

We are waiting for news from you in vain. We are missing you so, how sad! We could tell you so much more in person. Thank God we are doing well. Aunt Hans sent a letter, but, like always, she is unhappy, because Meta is still here. Uncle Josef is not doing well. Have you heard anything from Hanna and Ruth? We did not.
