Lieber Martin!

Viele herzl. Grüße und Kuss von Deiner Else.

Lieber Martin, alles Gute wünscht Dir Hanna.

Also nochmal alles Gute. Viele herzliche Grüsse und Küsse sendet Dir Deine Ruth.

Dear Martin,

As I’ve heard from your father, you are doing well. We all are doing well, also, thank God. Sadly, Job’s mother has passed away last week with a heart attack; it was not meant to be for her to be able to greet Sally over there. One of our letters to you was returned to us. This was during the time you had moved. Now I only hope by the end of this year we will see you there in person. For the upcoming New Year I wish you Happy New Year, all the best, lots of luck and health. Have pleasant Holidays and greetings from your Uncle Salomon.

Dear Martin,

All the best for the New Year. You must have heard from your father that our mother-in-law has passed away suddenly. I hope we see you soon; Job is in L. Lonsheim. Many warm greetings and kisses from your Else.

Dear Martin, All the best from Hanna.

Chuby? Martinus

Last but not least: I, too, wish you all the best from my whole heart. I hope you are healthy, which is how we are as well. I am so excited to see you soon! You feel the same way? Be a dear and write to me in English and I will respond accordingly. I’ll send you also a picture; it could be you don’t even recognize me. Once more, all the best. Many warm greetings and kisses from your Ruth.
