Dear Martin,

Yesterday I received your letter and was glad to see you were doing great; We are all healthy and are staying since Monday, Nov 14 with Aunt Selma, for Max is away for a few days. Gustav and Lori go to Paris tomorrow and you will hear from them from there. You could in turn send the affidavit and send it to Mainz, just like all other mail. Talk to Herbert Schaffner and Uncle Max about it. We hope the quota will be increased. One would love to write a lot more, but….Warm kisses for today from your Father. Hede and Aunt Selma send their greetings as well.

My dear Martin,

We are all healthy and all together with Auntie. Make sure we can stay together. Hede helps out with housework, Mrs Kaufmann is also here, for her husband is away. I have good news from Uncle Salomon. Job is traveling; they just want to stay healthy above all. It is all in God’s hands. Write to us often, warm greetings from your Joh. Kossmann
